It is Jacopo Mottes, a student at the University of Padua, who has won the prestigious VisionOttica Award 2022, with a thesis entitled “Haidinger’s brush: developing and testing an instrument for the psychophysical investigation of an entoptic phenomenon”.
The competition, promoted by Vision Group in collaboration with ALOeO (Associazione Laureati Ottica e Optometria), the Board of Optometry Opticians and seven Italian universities, is now in its ninth edition. Every year, it rewards the best degree theses related to the world of Optics, Optometry, Contactology, Visual Training and Vision in general, with the aim of encouraging and developing research and studies inherent to the profession of Optometry Optician.
For the winner there is an important cash prize, for continued investment in training, the possibility of attending free professional/managerial courses at the SIOO/SGA school and a work placement at VisionOttica centres.
