Giuseppe Bottone, a former manager for some of the leading chains in the sector, recently opened his first shop under the VisionOttica banner with his wife Attilia Napolitano: the aim is to grow at an entrepreneurial level and open further stores in the city of Trento.
Bottone has thus embarked on a long managerial career, spanning more than ten years, as deputy manager and head of some of the biggest chains in the optical sector.
An important curriculum and a deep knowledge of the market then led him to the decision to open his own optical centre. «This is my first shop,» says Bottone, «We chose VisionOttica right from the start because its “glocal” philosophy combines the strength of a national brand with that of an independent optician, which was what I was aiming for».
The independent imprint in terms of professionalism and customer proximity is clearly visible in the shop, supported by the presence and coordinated image of the VisionOttica brand. «My wife and I decided on the location together, a shopping centre located in Trento, Via del Brennero, and we structured the store by discussing various aspects with the local VisionOttica key account, including the frames and marketing activities, with the support of the dedicated office from the head office,» the entrepreneur explains. VisionOttica Trento is spread over a total space of 130 square metres, has five shop windows, a 100 square metre product display, two refraction rooms and a laboratory. «The first few weeks of opening went very well: we publicised the inauguration with a targeted campaign that received excellent feedback,» Bottone concludes. «Now the goal is to grow the business, including the hiring of additional staff, and launching other stores, also in Trento».
